Six people were arrested and charged shortly after the incident. A seventh person was arrested and charged in December.
According to police, the eighth person is a 32-year-old from Brampton. Police did not release the person’s name or sex.
Police said the person has been charged with: three counts of robbery using a firearm, restricted or prohibited; kidnapping while using a firearm — confine; two counts of forcible confinement; assault with a weapon; pointing a firearm; using a firearm while committing an offence; possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose; theft of a motor vehicle; and conspiracy to commit an indictable offence.
Police said the accused remains in custody pending a bail hearing.
Investigators said they believe other suspects, who may be armed and dangerous, remain at large.Â
