Receiver Drew Wolitarsky is calling it a career.
The 30-year-old wideout is signing a one-day contract to officially retire as a member of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, it was announced Thursday.
Wolitarsky spent the first seven years of his CFL career in Winnipeg before joining the Hamilton Tiger-Cats last season. He played in two games and did not record a reception.
The season before, Wolitarsky had 47 catches for 403 yards and a touchdown. In 2023, he had a career-high 668 yards and six receiving touchdowns.
Wolitarsky was part of two Blue Bombers Grey Cup Championship teams in 2019 and 2021. He appeared in 96 total games for the club after debuting in 2017.
A native of Santa Clarita, Calif., Wolitarsky qualified as a national player because his mother was born in Montreal. This allowed the Bombers to select him in the 2017 CFL Supplemental Draft out of the University of Minnesota, where he spent four seasons.
