The weekend could start with flurries or rain in the Greater Toronto Area and southern Ontario.

Environment Canada says Saturday morning will be cloudy with a 40 per cent to 60 per cent chance of flurries, turning into rain or more flurries around noon in Toronto, Mississauga and Brampton, Hamilton, Oshawa, and the Niagara Falls area.

A southwest wind will be blowing around 20 km/h with a high of around 4 C in Mississauga.

Saturday evening will bring another 60 per cent chance of flurries in Mississauga, and between 2 cm to 4 cm of snow could fall in Oshawa and Pickering.

The overnight low will be around 0 C in Mississauga, the weather agency says.

Looking ahead to Sunday, conditions are expected to be cloudy with a 40 per cent chance of flurries and a high of 1 C. Colder temperatures are expected on Monday, with a low of -15 C expected in Mississauga.
