The 2026 Budget invests in key priorities such as public safety, health care, parks and recreation, economic growth, arts and culture, and environmental sustainability. Overall, the plan represents a 1% increase on the City’s portion of the tax bill, keeping Brampton’s municipal tax rate among the lowest in the GTA and resulting in an estimated $111 increase for the average home.
The budget includes a $1.0385 billion Operating Budget to fund essential daily services and a $340.4 million Capital Budget for infrastructure and community improvements. The City will also maintain a record $163 million in reserves to support long-term financial sustainability.
