Toronto police are investigating after they say an adult man walked into a hospital Friday night suffering from a gunshot wound.

In a post to social media, officials say officers were first notified at around 9:24 p.m. after the man arrived at hospital.

His injuries are believed to be non-life-threatening.

At about 10 p.m., police later responded to reports a gunshot heard inside an apartment building in the Antrim Crescent and Kennedy Road area.

Investigators believe the apartment building shooting is linked to the man who sought treatment at hospital.

Officers remain on scene and the investigation is ongoing.
