OnePlus has appeared to be downsizing its global smartphone business recently, leading to reports of the company supposedly being set to close shop in the near future. The company has since debunked those rumors, but a new leak muddies the waters a fair bit.
As shared by leaker Yogesh Brar, OnePlus has now resumed its plans to release the OnePlus 15s this year. The company launched the OnePlus 13T in China and rebadged it as the OnePlus 13s for the Indian market with a handful of hardware differences. The 15T will succeed the 13T in China and while earlier reports claimed the company had shelved its plans to launch the 15s, it appears the compact phone could be on the way after all.
It’s not all good news, however. The source claims to have heard “not so good” things about OnePlus, potentially lending credence to those earlier rumors on the company’s plans for its business overall. In addition, while the 15s could be back on the cards, the leaker claims the 6.3-inch phone will arrive with with changed optics. The big question, of course, will be whether said changes to its camera system are positive or not. We’ll keep you updated either way.
