Alberta RCMP are issuing a warning to the public after receiving numerous calls over the last week regarding youth shooting Airsoft guns at eachother.
It is believed that the youth are partaking in a social media challenge that has been appearing across Canada over the last four years.
While an investigation is ongoing, Mounties note that Airsoft guns are regulated like firearms and that firing them in public is both illegal and can cause significant life-altering harm.
If anyone has any information regarding the Airsoft incidents, they are asked to contact RCMP at 780-997-7900 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
