Ottawa Senators

Captain Brady Tkachuk and defenceman Jake Sanderson will be in the lineup when the Senators return from their Olympic hiatus against the Detroit Red Wings on Thursday, according to Bruce Garrioch of Postmedia.

Tkachuk and Sanderson are coming off a 2-1 overtime win for the United States over Canada to claim the gold medal in men’s hockey in Milano Cortina 2026.

Tkachuk recorded three goals and five points in six games in Italy while Sanderson recorded two assists.

Team USA was invited to the White House in Washington to meet with President Trump on Wednesday.

The Senators recalled defenceman Carter Yakemchuk and forwards Tyler Boucher and Stephen Halliday from the AHL’s Belleville Senators on Monday.

Yakemchuk, 20, was drafted seventh overall by the Senators in the 2024 draft.

He has seven goals and 25 points in 41 AHL games in his first professional hockey season.

Boucher, 23, was drafted 10th overall by the Senators in the 2021 draft and has six goals and 16 points in 29 games with Belleville this season.

Halliday, 23, appeared in 25 games in Ottawa this season, recording four goals and 11 points. He has two goals and 29 points in 29 AHL games this season.

Vancouver Canucks

The Canucks recalled goaltender Nikita Tolopilo from the AHL’s Abbotsford Canucks under emergency conditions and assigned netminder Aku Koskenvuo to Abbotsford on Monday.

General Manager Patrik Allvin announced today that G Aku Koskenvuo has been assigned to Abbotsford (AHL) and G Nikita Tolopilo has been recalled from Abbotsford under emergency conditions.

Tolopilo, 25, appeared in seven games in Vancouver this year, going 3-3-1 with a .910 save percentage and 3.04 goals-against average.

He also has an 8-8-3 record in the AHL this season with am .897 save percentage and 3.07 GAA.

Winnipeg Jets

The Jets recalled goaltender Domenic DiVincentiis from the AHL’s Manitoba Moose as the team awaits the return of Olympic gold medalist Connor Hellebuyck’s return from Milano Cortina 2026.

DiVincentiis, 21, has a 10-12-2 record in the AHL this season with a .906 save percentage and 2.77 goals-against average.

Hellebuyck is coming off a 40-save performance for the United States in the gold-medal game against Canada, claiming USA’s first gold medal since 1980.

The Jets return from their Olympic hiatus on the road against the Vancouver Canucks on Wednesday.

Buffalo Sabres

The Sabres will be without forward Zach Benson for their three-game road trip to open up the stretch drive after the Olympic break, according to Matthew Fairbanks of The Athletic.

Lindy Ruff said Zach Benson likely won’t be able to play on the Sabres’ three-game road trip. He’s dealing with an upper body injury in addition to the shoulder issue from before the break.

Benson, 20, missed the team’s final two games before the Olympic break with an upper-body injury.

The 5-foot-10 winger has seven goals and 26 points in 42 games this season.

Buffalo opens up their post-Olympic run against the New Jersey Devils on Wednesday.

Detroit Red Wings

The Red Wings recalled forwards Dominik Shine and Sheldon Dries from the AHL’s Grand Rapids Griffins on Monday under emergency conditions.

Shine has 21 goals and 36 points in 37 AHL games this season while Dries has 18 goals and 34 points in 42 AHL games.

The Red Wings are awaiting the return of captain Dylan Larkin, who helped the United States win gold at the Olympics on Sunday.

They return from the Olympic break on Thursday on the road against the Ottawa Senators.

Nashville Predators

The Predators signed forward Jake Lucchini to a one-year, two-way contract extension on Monday.

Lucchini, 30, joined the Predators on a two-year, $1.55 million deal in July of 2024.

The 6-foot centre has 13 goals and 38 points in 48 games with the AHL’s Milwaukee Admirals this season.

Pittsburgh Penguins

The Penguins recalled forward Avery Hayes from the AHL’s Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins on Monday

Hayes made his NHL debut in the Penguins’ final game prior to the Olympic break, recording two goals in a 5-2 win over the Buffalo Sabres on Feb. 5.

The 5-foot-10 winger has 19 goals and 30 points in 36 games in the AHL this season.

Pittsburgh returns from the Olympic break on Thursday at home against the New Jersey Devils.

San Jose Sharks

The Sharks activated forward Ryan Reaves off injured reserve on Monday.

Reaves, 39, missed the team’s 4-2 loss to the Colorado Avalanche on Feb. 4, their final game before the Olympic break, with a with an upper-body injury.

The 6-foot-2 winger was acquired in a deal with the Toronto Maple Leafs in the off-season and has three goals and 32 penalty minutes in 46 games this season.

Utah Mammoth

The Mammoth assigned defencemen Kevin Connauton, Maksymilian Szuber, and forward Ben McCartney to the AHL’s Tucson Roadrunners on Monday.

Washington Capitals

The Capitals activated goaltender Charlie Lindgren off of injured reserve and assigned netminder Garin Bjorklund to the AHL’s Hersey Bears in a corresponding move.

Lindgren, 32, missed the team’s final four games before the Olympic break with a lower-body injury.

The 6-foot-2 netminder has an 8-6-3 record this season with an. 884 save percentage and 3.37 goals-against average.

Washington begins their post-Olympic break against the Philadelphia Flyers on Wednesday.
