Two men and two youths face charges in connection with a police investigation into an armed robbery that took place last May in a central Ontario town north of the Greater Toronto Area.

A 19-year-old man from Mississauga and a man from Toronto, also 19, in addition to a pair of 17-year-old youths remain in custody after being arrested last week, Ontario Provincial Police said in a news release on Wednesday.

Police said the May 2025 armed robbery targeted a “retail establishment” in Alliston, some 100 kilometres north of Mississauga and southwest of Barrie.

Search warrants executed at multiple homes across the GTA on Feb. 19 led to the four arrests, Nottawasaga OPP said.

Joseph Lee, of Mississauga, and Luke Grant, of Toronto, both 19, are each charged with conspiracy to commit an indictable offence.

Two 17-year-olds, one from Ajax and the other of Toronto, are each charged with robbery with a weapon and conspiracy to commit an indictable offence.

Under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, the 17-year-olds cannot be publicly named.

All four had bail hearings last week and remain in custody, police said.

Anyone with information related to the case is asked to call Nottawasaga OPP or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-8477.
