A Calgary man is facing a dozen charges after police pulled over a speeding vehicle and discovered nearly 430 grams of drugs along with multiple weapons and cash.
According to police, officers spotted a vehicle speeding on northbound Macleod Trail near Heritage Drive SE on Jan. 31.
After stopping the vehicle, officers performed sobriety tests and determined the driver appeared to be impaired by drugs.
The man was arrested, and officers seized:
425 grams of methamphetamine (approximate street value $3,035)
2.5 grams of fentanyl (approximate street value $220)
2.3 grams of cocaine (approximate street value $250)
Brass knuckles
Bear spray
Approximately $3,700 in cash
Police have charged 46‑year‑old Kevin Douglas Dalton with several drug and weapons offences. He also faces charges of impaired driving, speeding, operating a vehicle without a licence, and possession of more than one identification.
He is scheduled to appear in court on Friday.
