A 24-year-old Brampton man has died as a result of injuries sustained in a crash north of the city.
Dufferin Detachment of the OPP say just after 6:30 p.m. yesterday (Feb. 25), emergency crews were dispatched to County Road 124, just north of 20 Sideroad in the Township of Melancthon, for reports of a serious collision. Melancthon is located 70 km north of Brampton.
“As a result of the collision, a 24-year-old male from Brampton was transported to a Toronto-area hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased,” according to the OPP.
The name of the person killed has not been released.
Police say the investigation is ongoing and has put out a call to members of the public for dashcam footage of the incident.
