An adult male suspect is deceased following an officer-involved shooting in Mississauga on Saturday.

The incident occurred in the area of Fifth Line and Dundas Street, where a heavy police presence remains.

Authorities say all officers involved are safe and there are no outstanding suspects.

Peel Regional Police confirmed that a large scene has been secured and is expected to remain active for several hours as investigators gather evidence.

σResidents are being asked to avoid the area while the investigation continues.
