From peaceful areas to bustling inner-city spots, here are six Calgary neighbourhoods that are perfect for a spring afternoon.

Mahogany

Mahogany is a great choice for a spring outing that feels a little different from the usual inner-city stroll. You can wander along the lake pathways, take in the open views, and enjoy the quiet streets and fresh greenery before stopping in at one of the neighbourhood’s restaurants or cafes to grab a quick bite to eat. 

Bowness

For those days when you just want to get outside, Bowness is the perfect spot for enjoying the warmer weather. Wander through Bowness Park’s winding paths, take a stroll along the Bow River, or stop by the lagoon to see the picturesque scene. With plenty of open space and views, it’s the perfect place to soak up some fresh spring air.

Inglewood is the perfect neighbourhood to check out when you want to get out of the house without spending the whole afternoon outside. With local shops, restaurants, and cafes all within a few blocks, you can wander from spot to spot and check out what the neighbourhood has to offer.

Kensington

If you’re looking for a day of local shopping, Kensington is the place to be. You can start your afternoon by grabbing a coffee from one of the many cafes in the area and then bouncing from store to store. There are a ton of unique stores, making it easy to discover something new. 

Bridgeland

Bridgeland is the ideal spot for a spring stroll with scenic views and nice stops. You can walk along the Bow River pathways or explore the neighbourhood’s charming streets lined with restaurants and shops. It’s compact enough to wander comfortably, but offers plenty of spots to duck inside along the way. If you’re feeling adventurous, you can even stop in at the zoo!

Beltline

Beltline is a great inner-city go-to. You can wander along 17th Street, popping in and out of local boutiques, bakeries, and restaurants without straying too far between stops. If you’re looking for some fresh air, you can stroll down the Elbow River pathways and enjoy some fresh spring views.
