“Extortion investigations require a significant amount of time, effort, and attention to detail,” says Chief Superintendent Duncan Pound, Lower Mainland district assistant district commander and operations officer.

“Investigative efforts and forensic analysis are allowing us to continue working towards seeking charges against those committing these crimes. Our efforts are not limited to our province, and we will not stop looking, investigating and pursuing criminal charges against those involved.”

Jagdeep is also wanted on a nationwide immigration warrant by the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA), as well as for two counts each of extortion, discharging a firearm with intent, disguise with intent and eight counts of firearms offences for shootings in Parkland County, Alberta.

Avtar and Sandeep are currently in custody, but a Canada-wide warrant has been issued for Jagdeep out of Alberta.

He is described as 5’10” and 100 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information on Jagdeep’s whereabouts is urged to call their local police detachment. Suspicious immigration activities can also be reported through the Border Watch Line online or by calling 1-888-502-9060.
