Montrealers took to the streets Saturday following U.S. and Israeli air strikes on Iran, with reactions sharply divided. Some Iranian Montrealers marched downtown waving pre-1979 Iranian, U.S. and Israeli flags, saying they were ‘thankful’ and hopeful the intervention would bring freedom. A few blocks away, counter-protesters condemned the bombing as ‘reckless’ and ‘dangerous,’ arguing foreign military action will not bring safety or stability. Elizabeth Zogalis reports.
