One person was seriously injured in one of three shootings at businesses in Toronto’s northwest early Monday morning.

Toronto police say they were called to the intersection of Belfield Road and Kipling Avenue in Etobicoke at 5:37 a.m. for reports of “unknown trouble” at a business in the area.

Evidence of gunfire was located at the scene and a man in his 30s was transported to hospital. Toronto paramedics say his injuries are serious, but non-life threatening.

The suspects fled in a vehicle. No suspect descriptions are available at this time.

A little over 15 minutes earlier, police were called to a business near Weston Road and Fenmar Drive in North York for reports of a shooting at a business there.

No injuries were reported, but police say a building was damaged.

At 2:43 a.m., police responded to a suspicious incident and the sounds of gunshots at a commercial property near Dufferin Street and Steeles Avenue West.

No injuries were reported. Evidence of gunfire was located at the scene and businesses in the area were damaged.

It’s unclear if the three shootings are linked. Toronto police told CTV News that any possible connection would be part of the investigations.
