Surrey council approves motion to expand eligibility from 3 to 10 lots per proposed subdivision plan

Surrey council approved on Feb. 23 a motion from Councillor Pardeep Kooner aimed at expanding an early building permit submission pilot project for residential subdivisions.
She asked that council direct Surrey’s manager of planning and development to provide an update with recommended amendments “to expand eligibility from a maximum of three lots to ten lots per proposed subdivision plan.”
Councillor Harry Bains called it “a common-sense” change that will “reduce the amount of time it takes to build houses.”
