Tuesday could bring periods of snow and a chance of freezing rain to parts of southern Ontario.

Environment Canada says to expect cloudy skies in the morning in Toronto, Mississauga, Brampton, Hamilton, Oshawa, Burlington and Niagara Falls.

There’s a 40 to 60 per cent chance of light snow and a risk of freezing rain in the afternoon in some areas, including Hamilton, Burlington, Oakville and Niagara Falls.

The high will be around 2 C in Mississauga, but could feel more like -13 C in the morning due to the wind chill.

Tuesday night will be cloudy with fog patches expected in Mississauga, and a 30 per cent chance of snow and a risk of freezing rain in Hamilton.

The low will be around -5 C in Mississauga, but could feel more like -9 C due to the wind chill.

Looking ahead to Wednesday, skies are expected to be sunny with a high of 4 C and a low of 0 C in Mississauga. Temperatures are expected to warm on Friday, with a high of 8 C and a chance of rain.
