Fluff Me Up is a candy-coloured cafe in Toronto that specializes in fresh coffee and fanciful desserts.
Sisters Liliia and Elizaveta have always enjoyed cooking together. Prior to opening their business, the pair would spend hours in the kitchen, with Liliia poring over the recipe and Elizaveta providing the finishing touches.
This hobby eventually grew into something larger. In January of 2024, the sisters began selling their handmade sweets online. Chocolate-covered strawberries were their specialty, but mousse cakes and macarons were also quite popular.
In 2025, the success of their online shop convinced them to open a brick-and-mortar storefront. Though it took some time for them to find the right spot, the sisters ultimately settled on a small unit on Danforth Avenue.
The shop was then decorated to match the aesthetics of its products: fluffy white chairs were paired with irregularly shaped tables, and round lighting fixtures were installed above a pastel pink takeout counter.
The products themselves are displayed inside a glass case, allowing customers to see what the pastries look like before ordering.
The cherry chocolate ($8) is an egg-shaped dessert, about the size of a closed fist. Its bright pink shell is decorated with white stripes and heart-shaped sprinkles.
Upon breaking the shell, you’ll find a soft chocolatey center with a hint of fruity sweetness.
The mango ($10.50) is designed to resemble its namesake, from its oblong shape to its eye-catching gradient.
Unlike a real mango, however, this dessert is filled with tangy fruit-flavoured cream.
One of my favourite dishes was the silk heart ($9.50), a heart-shaped dessert filled with yogurt mousse and strawberry jam.
A chocolate key rests on top. Its rigid form and earthy flavour provide a sharp contrast to the sweet, creamy yogurt.
The rocher ($9.90) takes the form of a round brown ball, similar to a Ferrero truffle. Unlike the other desserts, whose fillings are soft and fluffy, this dish is studded with chopped nuts, giving it a pleasantly crunchy texture.
Dark chocolate mousse and caramel can be found inside.
The medovik ($7.25) is a delicate layer cake, made from sheets of honey cake held together with mascarpone. Chopped strawberries are sprinkled on top.
Liliia tells us that this dish is one of the most labour-intensive items on the menu. However, it also happens to be a crowd favourite, making the lengthy prep period that much more necessary.
Fluff Me Up also carries a wide selection of drinks, each served in an adorable pink mug.
The mocha ($5.65) is topped with a generous dollop of whipped cream, which helps to balance out its bittersweet flavour.
The hot chocolate ($5.50) is served with miniature marshmallows, which form a thick paste along the rim of the mug.
Since opening in December of 2025, Fluff Me Up has been a huge hit with the residents of Greektown.
Both sisters are incredibly grateful for the community’s support and promise to repay their kindness in any way they can.
Fluff Me Up is located at 800 Danforth Ave.
