A person who had been accounted for after a house fire in the Lord Roberts neighbourhood has been found dead.
Winnipeg police say the fire started shortly after 11:30 p.m. on Saturday in a one and a half storey home in the 600 block of Nassau Street South.Â
Offices were patrolling the area when the fire broke out, and notified the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service. When crews arrived, large plumes of smoke and flames were billowing out of the home.
