Given how much success Scottie Scheffler has had over the last few years, it is difficult to pinpoint one area of his game that has led to him becoming such a dominant player.
He drives the hell out of the ball, seemingly flushes every iron he hits and, since switching to the mallet, has become a demon on the greens. His T12 finish at the Genesis Invitational in February was the first time in nearly a full calendar year he didn’t finish in the top 10 of a tournament which, as I write this piece, is difficult for me to get my head around.

These are one of the best spiked golf shoes on the market, but it is the positioning of the nine spikes that gives them such grip and makes them so appealing to the best player in the world. Designed in partnership with Scheffler, Nike have placed a sole spike in the middle of the toe which, during testing, we found not only spreads the load of your body weight perfectly but also means you can rotate the back foot with full confidence that you won’t slip.

This is a great shoe for those who tend to play a lot in inclement weather – the synthetic leather upper layer is waterproof and akin to some of the best waterproof golf shoes, plus these shoes look incredible after several uses – not just fresh out of the box. They may feel a little stiff during your first few rounds, but they soften up quickly to deliver a brilliantly comfortable walk.
Even at full price, I’d argue these shoes are great value, but at less than $90 at PGA TOUR Superstore these are without doubt one of the best Nike golf shoes in terms of value. We can’t imagine these shoes staying on sale for too much longer, especially if/when Scottie keeps on winning!
