Matchroom Boxing’s Eddie Hearn didn’t respond in kind to Dana White’s explicit attacks at the UFC Houston post-fight press conference.
The rivalry between boxing promoters Eddie Hearn and Dana White is heating up in 2026.
White launched Zuffa Boxing earlier this year with cards headlined by the likes of Callum Smith and other up-and-coming stars. Since its inception, Hearn has been a frequent critic of White and Zuffa Boxing, questioning White’s long-term plans to shake up boxing.
After Hearn ripped Zuffa Boxing’s world championship model, White responded at the UFC Houston post-fight press conference by labeling his promotional rival a ‘p—-‘, in one of the most explicit exchanges in their back-and-forths. For Hearn, the longtime Matchroom Boxing executive believes White’s passion for fighters has deteriorated.
Eddie Hearn: Dana White shows no emotion towards his fighters
In a recent interview with IFL TV, Hearn responded to White.
“I hear people’s comments like Dana White [saying] ‘Eddie Hearn is a p—,’ Terence Crawford [saying,] ‘Do you think Eddie Hearn actually cares about these guys?’” Hearn said of White.
“I’m not saying I’m different but we’re very different to Dana White and those guys. They don’t give a f— about the fighters.
“Have you ever seen—and I know he’s got to be impartial—but have you ever seen Dana White show any emotion when someone wins?” Hearn continued. “He gets in, gives the belt, comes back, does his presser and f— off to his massive gaff with a cigar and whiskey and goes f—— ‘life is sweet, we just made $800 million this year.’” (h/t MMA Fighting)
White’s current passion for Mixed Martial Arts and the UFC, in particular, has been questioned by fans and some pundits in recent months. Some speculate UFC CBO Hunter Campbell could take on a larger role in the coming years as White focuses on Zuffa Boxing and his other ventures.
