The Toronto Blue Jays signed veteran left-handed reliever Joe Mantiply to a minor-league contract with an invite to spring training.

The 35-year-old American made 10 appearances with the Arizona Diamondbacks last season, posting a 15.83 ERA alongside eight strikeouts and five home runs allowed over 9.2 inning pitched.

After being released on June 1, Mantiply signed a minor-league deal with the Jays. He made 14 appearances with the Triple-A Buffalo Bisons, producing a 3.45 ERA with 19 strikeouts over 15.2 innings pitched.

Mantiply was an All-Star in 2022, recording a 2.85 ERA and 61 strikeouts over 60 innings pitched with the D-Backs.

Over his eight-year career with the Detroit Tigers, New York Yankees and Diamondbacks, Mantiply has a 4.54 ERA and 194 strikeouts in 216 innings pitched.
