Yukon set to benefit from Ottawa’s historic national energy plan

The federal government has announced a national energy strategy aimed at supporting mining, major projects and local energy needs. The plan is to build new transmission lines and expand electricity trade across the country. Provincial and territorial leaders including Yukon Energy Minister Ted Laking were in Ottawa on Wednesday for the announcement.
