As is tradition, the Australian Grand Prix in March marks the start of the season. The last race of the season is in December in Abu Dhabi.

Last year, Lando Norris of McLaren was on top of the standings with 423 points. He beat Max Verstappen by three points and teammate Oscar Piastri by thirteen. Norris won the Australian Grand Prix and would earn multiple wins throughout the season.

Meanwhile, Verstappen, who won the last three events of the 2025 season, was denied a five-peat last year.
