If there’s ever been a sure sign that spring is on its way, the return of Sugar Shack TO to Toronto’s waterfront is a clear frontrunner.
The celebration of all things maple is one of Toronto’s most iconic late-winter traditions, and it’s gearing up for a big comeback in a new location on the city’s waterfront.
Sugar Shack TO is set to take over the Harbourfront Centre, located at 235 Queens Quay W., on Mar. 14 and Mar. 15, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.

“We are so excited for Sugar Shack TO to return to Toronto after a one-year hiatus,” said Victoria Mahoney, co-producer of Sugar Shack TO.
“We are even more excited to be located at Harbourfront Centre for the first time, as it’s allowing us to bring more entertainment and more maple-infused vendors than ever before.”
Toronto’s urban cabane à sucre experience is presented by Redpath and allows visitors to tap into their true Canadian selves.

Harbourfront Centre will transform into a family-friendly maple wonderland packed with lots to see and do.
Take in live entertainment by the Great Canadian Fiddle Show and Tim Burr, the Circus Lumberjack. Then treat yourself to maple-infused comfort food, including hot apple cider from Redpath Sugar.
You can also pick up some maple taffy from the two Sugar Shacks presented by Menkes Developments for just $5 each or 5 for $20. Cash and debit will be accepted.

Stop by the Billy Bishop Airport warming station with bonfires to warm up, and check out a maple sugaring demonstration.
And don’t miss the always-popular ice carving competitions, which are back in 2026.
