LETTER: B.C. has put seniors in an impossible tax position

An open letter to Premier David Eby:
How dare you put the vulnerable and financially challenged senior citizens in an impossible tax situation!? Fixed income citizens have no chance to come up with cash for sudden home tax bills. Plus you raise the interest rate to 2% and compound it. This from the poor!
Your government announced it will receive $35 million from this. That is a small drop in your budget bucket.
Shame on you!
Tax the wealthy 1% or 1/2% and you will raise far more than $35 million. It seems you don’t care about the people who live here. Shame on you.
My vote will have to go to the Green Party next election.
