In his much-awaited return after missing eight consecutive games due to foot issues, the Dallas sensation instantly delivered a major feat in the league record books.
With a putback shot during the 9:51 mark of the first quarter against the Orlando Magic, Flagg has finally reached 1,000 career points.
He is the second youngest player ever to do that, just behind Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James.
The reigning No. 1 overall pick would have passed James if it weren’t for his left midfoot sprain. Nevertheless, it remains a special accomplishment for Flagg.
As Flagg is now healthy and playing, Mavs fans can finally continue watching his brilliant first season, in which he is averaging 20.4 points, 6.6 rebounds and 4.1 assists per game.
