Paige Bueckers left a sold impression during her WNBA debut season last year. For the Dallas Wings, she averaged 19.2 points, 3.9 rebounds, 5.4 assists and 1.6 steals per game. While she gave it her all, the team still couldn’t qualify for the playoffs and finished last in the standings.
Earlier this season, Bueckers made her debut in the three-on-three Unrivaled league while playing for Breeze BC. Throughout the regular season, she made an inevitable impact, sending Breeze into the playoffs.
In the regular season, Bueckers emerged as the fourth-best scorer in the league, averaging 22.1 points, 6.1 rebounds and 5.5 assists per game with 51.5% of field goal accuracy. Even in the playoffs, she stood out and scored 29 points against the Rose BC in the first round, guiding Breeze to a 69-50 win.
The team was expected to enter the championship game as well. Sadly, Breeze failed to move past Mist BC in the semifinal encounter on March 2. Despite Bueckers scoring 17 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists, the they narrowly lost the contest 69-73.
