A Toronto police officer was injured in a collision with another motorist in the city’s west end on Saturday evening.

The crash happened in the Beaconsfield Village neighbourhood, near Dufferin Street and Peel Avenue, just north of Queen Street West.

Police say they were called to that area around 6:30 p.m. for reports of a collision involving a police car and another vehicle.

The officer, they say, was taken to the hospital with minor injuries “out of precaution.”

The driver of the other vehicle did not go to hospital, police said.

Roads in the area are closed as Traffic Services investigates.
