Looking at Ontario’s earliest 20-degree days in the year, March 7 is about on par for locales such as Hamilton, London and Toronto.

But March 7 still falls well short of the earliest reading of 20 degrees in Ontario: Jan. 25 in Welland, Ont.

Earlier this year, Alberta was the first province to hit 20 C. On Feb. 4, Lethbridge, Alta., soared to a balmy 20.6 C, a notable, but not unheard of, accomplishment for this time of the year.
