MMA Main Card Pick of the Week: UFC Vegas 114
UFC Fight Night: Emmett vs Vallejos (aka UFC Vegas 114)
Main Card Start Time: 8:00 PM EST
Featherweights battle in our main event, with veteran Josh Emmett facing up-and-coming prospect Kevin Vallejos. The key number in this matchup is 17, which is the age gap between the 24-year-old Argentinian Vallejos and the 41-year-old Emmett.
It also helps that Vallejos is actually a good fighter, with concussive power (12 knockouts in 17 pro wins), can wrestle a bit, and hasn’t lost in six straight fights. This is a bad matchup for an aged Emmett, as Vallejos will be much faster and carries just as much power. For a guy who last won a fight in 2023 and has only won once in his last five, this is a glue factory fight for Emmett.
