The Colorado Avalanche (42-10-9) are back at home for the fourth and final meeting against the Minnesota Wild (37-16-10). Puck drop is scheduled for 12:08 p.m. MT and will be nationally televised on TNT.
Key Stories to Watch
Nazem Kadri is back. The 2022 Stanley Cup champion makes his return to the Avalanche for the first time since being reacquired on Friday afternoon.
It’s unclear where Kadri will slot in. He could play left wing with Brock Nelson and Valeri Nichushkin to load up the top six while Artturi Lehkonen remains out. He can also center the third line and push Nic Roy to the wing with either Gavin Brindley or Joel Kiviranta on the other side. Given the early start and lack of a morning skate, we won’t know until the pregame warm ups begin.
Bobby Brink, Michael McCarron, and Robby Fabbri all made their debut for the Wild when they defeated the Golden Knights on Friday. It’ll be interesting to see if Nick Foligno or Jeff Petry find their way into the lineup. From the two, it’s more likely we’ll see Foligno.
This is the last game between the two clubs in the regular season. Colorado is 1-1-1 in the first three games.
It’s unclear who the Avalanche will play in goal. Mackenzie Blackwood started v.s. Dallas before Scott Wedgewood replaced him and won in relief.
