Uncrowned has Jai Opetaia vs. Brandon Glanton live results, round-by-round updates, highlights, ring walks and start time for the Zuffa Boxing 4 fight card on Sunday night at the Meta Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada. In the night’s main event, Jai Opetaia takes on Brandon Glanton with the inaugural Zuffa cruiserweight title up for grabs.
Opetaia (29-0, 23 KOs) enters his Zuffa debut unbeaten and widely regarded as one of the best cruiserweights in the world. Opetaia is the reigning IBF cruiserweight champion, although the belt is not on the line Sunday because the IBF refused to sanction a voluntary defense against Glanton. Opetaia will be stripped of his IBF title after tonight.
Glanton (21-3, 18 KOs) has been defeated three times prior. He lost his unbeaten record to David Light in December 2022 and followed it with another defeat at the hands of Soslan Asbarov in March 2023. Glanton put together a three-fight win streak before losing to Chris Billam-Smith this past April on the Chris Eubank Jr. vs. Conor Benn undercard in London. Glanton returned to his winning ways in October with a sixth-round win over Marcus Browne.
The Opetaia vs. Glanton prelims begin at 6 p.m. ET on Paramount+, with the main card starting at 9 p.m. ET and main event ring walks are expected around 11 p.m. ET.

Two rounds to go. Can Jai Opetaia put the icing on the cake for his US debut and score the knockout? He has won every round of the fight, but has never truly rocked Glanton, nor has he put together a sustained attack of dominance.
Glanton wrestles Opetaia off of him and throws him down. Now, Opetaia loses a point for holding. There’s been a total of three points taken off in this fight, and every one of them more unnecessary than the last.
Opetaia is floored again by Glanton. Glanton is utilizing his physical strength advantage on the inside. And now in the second half of this round, Opetaia is holding. Left hand connects for Opetaia. Glanton has taken his power punches all night long.

Glanton manages to force him on the inside. And now some holding. More warnings for holding. Short right from Glanton up close — it’s a rare bit of success for him. Glanton, to his credit, is still in there, he’s still plodding forward. Uppercut scores for Opetaia on the inside. Fantastic left hand to the body from Opetaia to end Round 8.

Right-hand on the inside for Glanton. Glanton, who hasn’t won a round so far and is taking some big punches, might need to go for broke now. Opetaia is still getting the better of things on the inside. Three-piece on the inside knocks back the head of Glanton. Glanton loses one point for holding at the two-minute mark. Unnecessary point off in Uncrowned’s opinion. Opetaia connects with an uppercut and dances off at an angle — beautiful stuff. Some success on the inside for Glanton to end Round 6.
10-9 Opetaia (-1 Glanton), 60-53 Opetaia

Frenetic start from Glanton. Likely 2-0 behind, there’s some urgency from Glanton to begin Round 3. He starts downstairs and looks to follow up to the head, but Opetaia ties him up. Nice left hand through the middle from Opetaia. Right partially connects. Good body attack from Opetaia. Sharp left hand from Opetaia connects, and then he goes to the body. Opetaia opens proceedings in Round 2 with a left hand to the body. Now he goes over the top with the backhand, but it was blocked by Glanton that time. Glanton is struggling with Opetaia’s movement. He just missed with a right-hand that time. Body shot for Glanton. Opetaia is the much sharper fighter and is having no problem walking Glanton into left hands and right hooks. Opetaia is fighting almost exclusively on the backfoot with lateral movement — this isn’t what we’re used to seeing with Opetaia. Opetaia has tremendous footwork and uses it to push forward, not just backwards. Right from Glanton to end the frame, which was countered by an Opetaia combination.

The IBF cruiserweight title won’t be on the line tonight because the IBF announced Friday that it had withdrawn sanction for Jai Opetaia’s voluntary defense against Brandon Glanton.
After the fight was announced, there were weeks of uncertainty on whether the IBF championship would be on the line.
On fight week, the IBF initially granted sanction to the bout after being assured by Opetaia’s team that any belt awarded by Zuffa tonight would be “characterized as a trophy or token of recognition.”
Zuffa Boxing, a promoter, is not allowed to have its own world championship because of the current Ali Act rules, and the Zuffa championship tonight is merely a “trophy.”
At the final press conference for Opetaia vs. Glanton on Friday, however, it was announced that the Zuffa world cruiserweight title would be on the line, and it was treated like a world title, forcing the IBF to withdraw sanction of the bout.
With the IBF withdrawing sanction of tonight’s Opetaia vs. Glanton bout, Opetaia will be stripped of his cruiserweight title when he steps into the ring to face Glanton in his Zuffa Boxing debut.
It’s a huge blow for Opetaia, who has repeatedly insisted his goal in boxing is to pick up the four traditional belts and become the undisputed champion at cruiserweight.
It had come as a shock when the Australian signed with Zuffa, because Zuffa said it would not recognize boxing’s four sanctioning bodies, and Opetaia’s goals were clear.
Opetaia insisted that he would still be able to chase his dreams under Zuffa, which obviously now looks a long way from reality.

Saracho was told that he needs a knockout in the corner. The referee told him that he needed to show him something. This round, one way or the other, is make or break. Salas is putting together a barrage of shots. The referee tells Saracho again, “You’ve got to show me something.” Saracho isn’t showing enough, as Salas gets through with another combination. Finally, Saracho puts together some punches. Nice body shot, left uppercut two-piece from Salas. He is stylin’ on Saracho now. Saracho backs up voluntarily. He looks to be hurt. Nice two-piece from Salas — and now it’s over! Good stoppage.

HUGE right hand from Salas to begin Round 7. Now, he’s going for the finish, and the referee is just starting to take a closer look. It’s not been one-way traffic, but one guy is clearly much more heavy-handed than the other and is putting a bit of a beating on Saracho, but Saracho is doing just enough to stay in the fight. Salas has a 68-16 punch advantage in the last 3 rounds — it’s a 5-6 punch combination from Salas vs. one or two shots from Saracho, who is a beaten man.
10-9 Salas, 69-64 Salas

Heading into the second half of this one. Round 5 was another one for Salas. Saracho’s corner tried to relay the message to him that he was behind through five rounds. Nice pair of rights from Salas while Saracho was backed up. Now, Salas is putting his shots together. Saracho is hurt; he is being hammered to the body, and Saracho looks to be frozen. Big moment in this fight for Salas. More body work from Salas, followed by a right hand on the inside. Dominant frame for Salas.
10-9 Salas, 59-55 Salas
