A bomb threat was reported at Lord Tweedsmuir Secondary School in Surrey’s Cloverdale neighbourhood on Wednesday, March 4. However, after conducting a thorough search, the police determined that the threat was “unsubstantiated.”
A letter from the school’s principal, Ken Hignell, said that a staff member had received a concerning email earlier in the day and had contacted police.
“RCMP did not recommend a hold and secure but did conduct a thorough search of our school out of an abundance of caution,” Hignell said.
Police found that there were “no safety concerns” for staff or students at any time.
