NHL alumni will be in town this weekend to play some hockey for a good cause.
The Scotiabank Semiahmoo Ravens Alumni Pro-Am is back for its second year this Saturday (March 7), and will take place between South Surrey Arena and Centennial Arena.
This year’s event features games played by the Ravens U9, U13 A1, and mini-games featuring our U7 teams. In addition, there’s a U17 A Showcase already underway, as it goes March 4-8, with teams from Cloverdale, Langley, North Delta and Semiahmoo competing through to the finals on Sunday (March 8).
Catch Ravens Alumni compete in an exhibition with NHL Alumni in an effort to raise money for Kid Sport Surrey & White Rock, the Canucks Autism Network, and Semiahmoo Minor Hockey — and then hockey fans can even stick around to see the Pacific Junior Hockey League’s White Rock Whalers take on Cloverdale in the Game 3 in the second round of the PJHL playoffs.
Last year, the event raised more than $125,000 thanks to participating Ravens players, their donors, and community partners who helped support the event. Funds raised supported KidSport Surrey & White Rock and the Canucks Autism Network, and also purchased new jerseys for Semiahmoo’s U9 programs – 13 teams in total.
There’s still time to help the Ravens reach their goal of more than $100,000 — head to 2026ravensproam.raiselysite.com to donate.
