Two men have been charged with second-degree murder in connection with a 2024 homicide in northwest Edmonton.

Officers were first called to the area of 127 Avenue and 118 Street at approximately 3:30 a.m. on May 27, 2024, after receiving a report of a weapons complaint.

When police arrived, they located an adult male suffering from a serious injury. Paramedics treated the man at the scene before transporting him to hospital, where he later died.

An autopsy conducted by the Edmonton medical examiner on May 29, 2024, determined 37-year-old Jordan Belhumeur died from a gunshot wound. His death was ruled a homicide.

Almost two years later, the Edmonton Police Service homicide section announced Monday that Tristan Dylan Green, 29, and Dorian Gladue Thomas, 25, have been arrested and charged in relation to the death of Belhumeur.

In a press release, police said Green was arrested on Feb. 4 while Thomas was arrested on March 8.

The investigation remains ongoing.
