An 18-year-old Hamilton woman is wanted by police after being accused of helping set up a kidnapping last summer in midtown Toronto.

Toronto Police said they responded to a robbery call just after midnight on July 26, 2025, in the St. Clair Ave. W.-Christie St. area after the victim was lured by the prospect of a date that ended up being fake.

The victim was ambushed by a group of males upon arrival, forced into a vehicle, driven around for “several hours” and assaulted, while demands for money were made.
The victim, who suffered non-life-threatening injuries, was found by police a “few hours” later.
Ashley Crenshaw is wanted for kidnapping, kidnapping for ransom or service, conspiracy to commit an indictable offence and two counts of forcible confinement.
She has brown curly hair and a medium build.

Two male teens were charged with an armed robbery-related offence after a firearm was pulled on a busker last week at the TTC’s Finch Station.
Toronto Police said they responded to a robbery call Thursday in the Keele St.-Finch Ave. W. area, where the victim was collecting change, playing guitar and streaming live on social media.
The victim was approached by three males who allegedly stole the money he collected, with one of them producing a firearm when confronted.
Meekal Ali, 19, of Toronto, and a 16-year-old male were both charged with robbery with a firearm.
The third suspect remains outstanding.

A 37-year-old man is facing charges after being accused of stealing a snow-plowing vehicle that crashed into a hospital emergency department.
Toronto Police responded to a collision Monday at about noon in the Elizabeth St.-Gerrard St. W. area, where the Toronto General Hospital is located.
Police said a man allegedly stole a “utility task vehicle” equipped with a snow plow and drove it through the entrance of the emergency department. He was hospitalized with non-life-threatening wounds.
Norman Gayvan Lane, of no fixed address, was charged with theft of a motor vehicle, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, property damage endangering life and mischief to property exceeding $5,000.
