Environment Canada projects wet flurries or rain showers beginning in the morning – a special weather statement was issued Monday to give commuters a heads-up – then rain showers near noon. Wind gusting to 50 km/h is also in the forecast, as well as a high of 6 C.

A special weather statement is in effect for the Metro Vancouver area, with a cool, unstable air mass over the south coast expected to bring freezing levels, producing bands of flurries or showers on Tuesday and Wednesday.
