A Canadian chain known for its healthy bites is gearing up to open its first Calgary outpost.
iQ Food Co. has revealed that its first restaurant in Western Canada is set to open in Calgary, as the brand has secured real estate in the city.
If you’re unfamiliar with iQ, it offers a large menu of “nourishing, clean-eating dishes” including veggie and protein-packed bowls, smoothies, sandwiches, soups and more.
The Calgary location will be the company’s first expansion outside of Ontario, where it currently has seven locations, and is a major milestone in iQ’s plans for national expansion.
Area Development Agreements are in place across Alberta, Ontario, and British Columbia, totalling 65 committed units, said Sean Black, CEO of Happy Belly Food Group, a leader in acquiring and scaling emerging food brands, including iQ.
While there is no confirmed opening date or location for iQ’s first Calgary location just yet, it’s always exciting to see a new healthy spot opening up in the city.
