Samantha Scott, who was once the nanny and later became the mistress of former MLB pitcher Dan Serafini, has pleaded guilty to being an accomplice in the deadly attack on Serafini’s in-laws in Tahoe. She initially mislead detectives during a police interview before admitting her involvement. The newly released interview took place in November 2021, five months after Serafini shot his in-laws, killing his father-in-law, Gary Spohr, and gravely wounding his mother-in-law, Wendy Wood. Wood survived the shooting but later took her own life. Much of Scott’s interview focused on the day of the shooting, June 4.
