A new supermarket will open ahead of schedule in Mississauga.
T&T Supermarket Inc. will open its second location in the city at 3060 Ridgeway Dr., north of Dundas Street West, near the Oakville border, next month.
The 40,000-square-foot store was built on a large parking lot that was used to accommodate customers at the old Silver City Cinemas. The theatre closed in 2014 and is now home to LA Fitness.
It was slated to open in the summer of 2026, but T&T Supermarket CEO Tina Lee announced it will open in April.
The grand opening date is set for April 9 at 9 a.m.
“We know so many of you have been waiting patiently and we are finally excited to announce that we have a grand opening date for your second location in Erin Mills,” Lee said.
Lee said she loved the look of the new store.
“Holy cow, this store is so awesome,” Lee said on Instagram. “I am super excited to bring a new store to you.”
This is the second T&T store in the city. The first one is at 715 Central Parkway West. The new location will serve Mississauga and Oakville residents.
“We are so excited to better serve the west Mississauga area and Halton Region with the opening of this new store,” Lee said.
