Moose Jaw’s Koseikan Judo Club returned home from the Edmonton International Judo Tournament with five medals.
The tournament, held at West Edmonton Mall over the weekend, featured more than 950 athletes, including eight from Moose Jaw.
In the U14 division, Devin Der won bronze in the U14 male novice -46 kg division. Alexander Maerz also captured bronze in the U14 male novice +66 kg division, while Aayla Lee-Neuman placed fifth in the U14 female advanced -40 kg division.
Jesse Reynaud won bronze in the U16 male novice +73 kg division, and Raylynn Maerz placed fifth in the U16 female novice +70 kg division.
In the U18 division, Emmett Lee-Neuman placed ninth in the U18 male intermediate -66 kg division. Jesse Reynaud won gold in the U18 male novice -81 kg division, Raylynn Maerz in the U18 female novice +70 kg division did not place, and Josie Mawson placed seventh in the U18 female advanced +70 kg division.

And in the senior division, Emmett Lee-Neuman won bronze in the senior male intermediate -66 kg division, and Jessie Halvorsen did not place in the senior male intermediate -73 kg division.
The club returns to action later this month for the Melfort Provincial Tournament on March 29th, while Emmett Lee-Neuman is compeating for with the provincial team at the Pacific International in Vancouver.
