Bralon Addison is hanging up his cleats.

The 32-year-old wide receiver has signed a one-day deal with the Ottawa Redblacks and will retire with the team.

A native of Missouri City, TX, Addison appeared in 32 games over three seasons with the team from 2023 to 2025, recording 139 receptions for 1,530 yards and eight touchdowns.

“Ottawa will always have a special place in my heart,” Addison said in a statement. “From the moment I arrived, RNation, my teammates and the entire Redblacks organization embraced me. Some of the most meaningful moments of my career happened in this city and I’m incredibly grateful for the support I received throughout my time here. Being able to sign a one-day contract and retire with the Redblacks is truly special and it’s the perfect way to close this chapter of my career.”

Undrafted out of Oregon, Addison signed with the Denver Broncos in 2016. Following his release during training camp, he signed with the Chicago Bears that December. He would go on to appear in two games for the team.

After a brief spell with the Toronto Argonauts that ended before he played in a game, Addison joined the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in the fall of 2018, appearing in four games. In 2019, Addison enjoyed a breakout season with the Tabbies, hauling in 95 receptions for 1,236 yards and seven touchdowns. He earned a CFL All-Star nod in recognition of his campaign.

Following a return to the NFL on a futures/reserve contract with the Minnesota Vikings, Addison rejoined the Ticats for a second stint, appearing in 11 games across the 2021 and 2022 seasons.

He finishes his CFL career with 303 receptions for 3,543 yards and 16 TDs in 63 games across seven seasons with the Ticats and Redblacks.
