Spider-Man: Brand New Day, also known as Spider-Man 4, has added a new cast member.
Marvel and Sony’s Spider-Man: Brand New Day is currently in production. Directed by Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings’ Destin Daniel Cretton, the movie will see Tom Holland reprise his role as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, while Zendaya and Jacob Batalon will both return as Michelle “MJ” Jones-Watson and Ned Leeds.

Scrofano is known for playing Captain Marie Batel in Star Trek: Strange New Worlds and the titular character in Syfy’s Wynonna Earp series. She also stars as Dana Cypress in Syfy’s Revival show and portrays Mrs. McMurray in Letterkenny.
As for her work in movies, Scrofano’s filmography includes 2009’s Saw VI, 2011’s Citizen Gangster, 2014’s RoboCop, 2019’s Ready or Not, 2020’s The Silencing, and 2022’s The End of Sex, among a number of other titles.
It is unclear who Scrofano will play in Spider-Man: Brand New Day at this time, as official plot details for the movie remain under wraps. Stranger Things’ Sadie Sink and The Bear’s Liza Colón-Zayas have similarly been cast in undisclosed roles.
Jon Bernthal, meanwhile, will return as Frank Castle/Punisher in the Marvel Studios movie, while Mark Ruffalo’s Bruce Banner/Hulk has a role as well. Also returning to the MCU is Michael Mando’s Mac Gargan/Scorpion, a character who debuted in 2017’s Spider-Man: Homecoming and then hasn’t been seen since then.
Spider-Man 4 will be released in United States theaters on July 31, 2026, as part of Phase Six of the MCU. After that comes Avengers: Doomsday on December 18, 2026, followed by the sequel, Avengers: Secret Wars, on December 17, 2027.
