Kelly Osifo, left, and Ian Junior Chambers have been arrested.
A Mississauga man has been arrested after a lengthy investigation into human trafficking.
Police in London, Ont., say that in 2021, a woman entered into an arrangement with a man involving the exchange of money and sexual services.
Then, in 2024, an investigation was started by the Toronto Police Service.
On Feb. 6 of this year, London Police arrested one suspect. Ian Junior Chambers, 39, of York, now faces several charges of assault and various trafficking offences.
With collaboration from the members of the Toronto Police Service, the investigation continued, and a second suspect was identified.
A warrant of arrest was issued for the second outstanding suspect, 36-year-old Kelly Osifo, of Mississauga, who faces a long list of charges, including assault, uttering threats of death or bodily harm, trafficking, mischief and benefitting from trafficking a person over the age of 18.
On March 8, Osifo was apprehended by Toronto police and has since been returned to London.
Police believe there may be more victims and have asked them to come forward.
Anyone with information in relation to this incident is asked to call the London Police Service at (519) 661-5670 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). Information can also be sent in online anonymously to London Middlesex Crime Stoppers.
