One of Calgary’s most beloved ice cream shops will be opening its brand-new location next month with freebies to celebrate.
After announcing the exciting expansion last year, Village Ice Cream is set to open its new West District outpost to Calgarians on Saturday, April 4.
Village is a fan favourite for Calgarians, known for its small-batch ice cream, featuring iconic flavours such as toasted coconut, salted caramel, and Guide’s mint.
To celebrate the momentous occasion, Village will be hosting a huge grand opening celebration, with free kids scoops between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m., as well as a signature Cronut ice cream sandwich available for purchase in collaboration with Alforno.
Alongside all that ice cream, there’ll be a live DJ on the patio and All Things GQ will be there for a pop-up selling vintage goods on a bus.
The newest outpost is steps away from Radio Park, where it will be joining spots such as Deville Coffee and Una Pizza + Wine.
Currently, Village has locations in Victoria Park, University District, Britannia, Garrison Corner and Bridgeland.
