The Juno Awards are returning to Winnipeg for a third time. The 56th annual awards show, which celebrates the best of Canadian music, will take place on April 4 at Canada Life Centre.
“We are proud to bring The JUNO Awards back to Winnipeg in 2027 and celebrate the extraordinary talent that continues to emerge from this vibrant and creative community,” said Allan Reid, president & CEO, CARAS/The JUNO Awards, in a release.
“There’s a wonderful pride in this city that will be on full display for the entire country to see!”
Thursday’s anticipated announcement was made at the Metropolitan Entertainment Centre in downtown Winnipeg. The city has previously hosted the awards show in 2005 and 2014.
“Juno Week” will feature several industry events, beginning on April 1 and culminating with the televised CBC broadcast on April 4. A host for the awards show hasn’t yet been announced.
