Traditionally, the race finishes on the Promenade des Anglais, but organisers and local authorities have decided to move the final stage elsewhere to avoid large crowds in the city centre while residents are voting.
Saturday stage from Nice to Auron
On Saturday, March 14, the penultimate stage will begin on the Promenade des Anglais before heading towards the mountains.
Riders will cover 138.7 km between Nice and the ski resort of Auron, passing through several villages in the Alpes-Maritimes along the way.
The morning will also include a 109-km amateur event, followed by the official team presentation before the professional race starts late morning.
A different finish on Sunday
The final stage on Sunday, March 15 will both start and finish near the Allianz Riviera stadium, on Avenue Camille Muffat, instead of along the seafront.
Cyclists will complete a 129-km loop around the region before returning to the same location, with the finish expected in the afternoon.
Traffic and transport disruptions
Road closures and traffic restrictions will be in place in several parts of Nice across the weekend, particularly on the Promenade des Anglais on Saturday and in the Nice West area on Sunday near the Allianz Riviera.
Public transport will also be adjusted, with some bus routes modified, while tram services are expected to run normally.
Residents and visitors are advised to check travel updates and plan their journeys in advance during the race weekend.
