Hi Subscribers,
What’s emerging as the biggest cycling transfer story of the year shows no sign of slowing, with ongoing speculation about the future of Paul Seixas.
The young French rider has a current contract with the Decathlon CMA CGM Team until the end of 2027, but with negotiations on an extension postponed until after the Ardennes, the situation has created a void, leading to conjecture about the 19-year-old’s future.

Het Laatste Nieuws’s Bram Vandecapelle broke the story about UAE Team Emirates-XRG’s interest in signing the rider who many see as the next Tadej Pogačar, while Ineos Grenadiers have also been linked with Seixas, both before and after it was confirmed that they have a new sponsor coming on board.

Meanwhile, Dominique Serieys, the CEO of the Decathlon CMA CGM Team, told us earlier this week that he would prefer contract negotiations to be wrapped up before the Tour de France, with mounting evidence that Seixas will make his Grand Tour debut there in July.
It would certainly be a huge distraction if Seixas went into the Tour de France without his future sorted – both for him and his team – but his agent Joona Laukka – a former pro rider who heads up LC Management Agency – played down all the press attention when we bumped into him at the start of stage 6 at Paris-Nice.
